Clemson’s first NCAA Tournament appearance under head coach Shawn Poppie ended in heartbreak.
With the Tigers (21-12) up 64-61 in overtime, Jazzy Davidson knocked down back-to-back three-pointers, the second with just over a minute left, to spur Southern Cal to a 71-67 win over Clemson in the first round of the NCAA Tournament in Columbia.
The Tigers would miss five of their final six field goals in the overtime period.
Davidson finished with 31 points, six rebounds and five assists to lead the Trojans.
Taylor Johnson-Matthews paced the Tigers with 16 points, with 11 of those coming after halftime.
