Mason Jones is a completely different fighter from his forgettable first UFC stint.
Jones (18-2) took on previously undefeated French prospect Alex Sola in a lightweight bout at UFC London on Saturday. While Sola dropped Jones early with a spinning-back elbow, the Welsh fighter showed impressive grit in recovering quickly. Jones came from behind and put on a slugfest to earn a unanimous decision win, handing Sola (11-1) his only career loss. The brutal war also earned the “Fight of the Night” honors.
Jones made his UFC debut in 2021 and went 1-2 with one no contest in the promotion, suffering his only career losses.
