Commanders keeping close tabs on surging prospect after jaw-dropping display

It's a big week for the Washington Commanders and several intriguing prospects expecting to hear their names called early in the 2026 NFL Draft. And one potential option for general manager Adam Peters at No. 7 overall got everyone's attention with a blistering showcase of athletic intangibles.

The Commanders could go in any direction with their first-round pick. Most thought it would be a defensive prospect before free agency, but that might not be the case anymore. This is the flexibility Peters wanted. Even so, it's imperative he gets it right with only two selections in the first four rounds.
